How it's made

Cloth, cord, clay or stone is chosen by hand for grain, weight and character before work begins.

The piece is cut, shaped or formed by an artisan, working to the exact design by hand.

Detailing, embellishment or finishing work — beading, printing, painting or stitching — is added by hand.

Every piece is checked by hand before it leaves Ahmedabad, so small natural variations are seen, not hidden.

Named for the wave it carries, leher, these earrings trace the diagonal flow of traditional Lehariya tie-dye in handcrafted fabric, edged with silver-toned ghungroo beads that catch the light as you move. A geometric fan shape that reads modern up close and heritage from across the room. Choose from three colours: lime green, fuchsia pink, and emerald bandhej. Handcrafted.

The Story

Lehariya, the wave, is a Rajasthani tie-dye that has dressed dupattas and turbans for generations. The Leher Earrings take that same diagonal current and set it in fabric you can wear at the ear, framed with silver ghungroo beads for movement and light. Artisans cut, fold and finish each pair by hand in Ahmedabad. Colour for the woman who treats jewellery as the last, deliberate line of an outfit.

Wear It
For work Lime or emerald with the Nilkamal Short Kurti for a finished desk to dinner look.
For festive Fuchsia pink against the Gulshan Co-ord Set or any plain outfit that needs one bright note.
For everyday With a white shirt or kurta when you want the earrings to do the talking.
Add the stole Layer with the Nilufar Modal Silk Stole to pull the colour through the whole look.

Care
  • Last thing on, first thing off, keep away from water, perfume, lotion and sweat.
  • Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after each wear.
  • Store in a dry pouch or box, kept separate so pieces don’t scratch or tangle.
  • Neckpieces: store flat so the chain does not tangle and the fabric does not crease.
  • Fabric, kundan and ghungroo pieces: never wet; keep away from moisture.
  • Never machine wash, soak or iron any piece.

Each piece is handcrafted, so tiny differences in colour and finish are expected and make yours one of a kind.
