Usually not. Section 17(5)(h) of the CGST Act blocks input tax credit on goods given away as gifts, and that generally covers festive gifts to employees and clients. Your invoice still carries our GSTIN and the GST charged, so the treatment is clear either way. Confirm it with your CA before you set the budget.
