How it's made

Cloth, cord, clay or stone is chosen by hand for grain, weight and character before work begins.

The piece is cut, shaped or formed by an artisan, working to the exact design by hand.

Detailing, embellishment or finishing work — beading, printing, painting or stitching — is added by hand.

Every piece is checked by hand before it leaves Ahmedabad, so small natural variations are seen, not hidden.

Zari is the gold thread worked through a good sari, and these are its equivalent for the table. Six dessert spoons in mirror-polished stainless steel finished a warm gold — slim enough for a katori of kheer, a cup of dahi, or the shared last course. They dress a plain table the way zari dresses plain cloth: a little shine, placed well. Lovely alongside the Tulsi Green Serving Bowls.

The Story

Gold on the table is an old Indian instinct, the festival thali, the mithai tray brought out for guests. Zari keeps that instinct at everyday scale: six light spoons that turn kheer on a Tuesday into something that looks celebrated. They pull a warm metal note into a Home edit that otherwise runs to indigo, sage and stone, and they earn their place every time dessert appears.

Set It
For dessert With the Tulsi Green Serving Bowls — gold on sage.
Chai & mithai Beside the Saanjh Cups for the evening spread.
To plate it With the Heritage Blue Plates for a festive table.

Use & Care
  • Hand wash with mild detergent and a soft cloth, then dry immediately.
  • Avoid the dishwasher, steel wool and abrasive scrubs; they can mark the finish.
  • Do not soak or leave in contact with citrus, vinegar or salted food.
  • Store clean and completely dry, separated from harder pieces to prevent scratches.

Small shifts in tone and shine are natural to a hand-finished surface.
