House notes

The piece

Zari is the gold thread worked through a good sari, and these are its equivalent for the table. Six dessert spoons in mirror-polished stainless steel finished a warm gold — slim enough for a katori of kheer, a cup of dahi, or the shared last course. They dress a plain table the way zari dresses plain cloth: a little shine, placed well. Lovely alongside the Tulsi Green Serving Bowls.

The Story

Gold on the table is an old Indian instinct, the festival thali, the mithai tray brought out for guests. Zari keeps that instinct at everyday scale: six light spoons that turn kheer on a Tuesday into something that looks celebrated. They pull a warm metal note into a Home edit that otherwise runs to indigo, sage and stone, and they earn their place every time dessert appears.

Set It

Use & Care
  • Hand wash in warm water with mild detergent and dry immediately, standing water is what dulls metal.
  • Avoid abrasive scrubs and harsh dishwasher salts; they scratch and pit a hand-finished surface.
  • Brass and bronze deepen into a natural patina over time. To bring back the shine, rub gently with lemon and salt, rinse well and dry fully.
  • Do not soak. Do not leave sitting in acidic or salted food.
  • Wooden handles: wipe clean only, never submerge, and oil occasionally so they don’t dry out.
  • Store dry, wrapped in soft cloth, away from damp.

Finished by hand, so weight, shine and small tool marks vary piece to piece, the mark of something made rather than stamped.
