Four small ghungroo studs, each one hand-threaded in a different colour: green, orange, navy blue, maroon. The craft comes straight from Indian classical dance where ghungroo are the bells that dancers tie around their ankles, and the sound and shape of them carries centuries of practice.

These studs wear that reference without being obvious about it. At 1.5cm across, they're the earrings you reach for when you want something present but not loud. The kind a jewellery person notices and asks about. Pair them with ethnic fusion workwear, a plain cotton kurta, or casual Indo-Western separates.

The Story

Ghungroo are the bells dancers tie at their ankles, and the sound of them carries centuries of practice. We brought that craft into something small and everyday — a 1.5cm stud, quiet enough for work, the kind a jewellery person notices and asks about. Each one is hand-threaded in Ahmedabad in a single colour, made in small batches.
