House of Falguni is named after a woman. Falguni, Sanskrit for beautiful, graceful, born in auspiciousness, is the founder's mother. A woman who moved through life with quiet authority, dressed with care on ordinary days, and never needed an occasion to show up as the fullest version of herself.
That woman is who every HOF piece is designed for. If you want to understand who she is and what her life looks like, read She Does It All, And Now She Can Dress Like It.
Why HOF Exists
Every modern Indian woman knows the gap. On one side sits the ethnic wardrobe. Kurtis for weekends, sarees for weddings, salwar sets for family occasions, beautiful and rooted and culturally rich, yet rarely considered office-ready. On the other sits the work wardrobe. Blazers, trousers, Western formals, professional and polished and stripped of heritage.
House of Falguni closes that gap. We design Indo-Western ethnic wear that belongs in both worlds, pieces that carry the craft and soul of Indian textile tradition, cut for the modern professional. You walk into a boardroom in a beautifully structured ikat kurta and feel every inch as credible as the woman beside you in a blazer, because you are. For the practical guide to making that work every day, read How to Style an Indo Western Kurti for Office Wear.
What We Make
Every piece starts with one question. What does the modern Indian woman actually need to feel like herself, every single day?
Our kurtis and dresses, the Ruby Raga Collar Kurta in deep maroon ikat, the Nilkamal Short Kurti in teal with its clean square neckline, the Ibrik Shirt Dress in warm camel that moves from desk to dinner, are built on structured silhouettes that hold shape through a full working day. Ethnic without being costume. Contemporary without being generic.
Our accessories carry the same philosophy. Every pair of earrings, from the Chandbali Earrings with Ghungroo to the Sunflower Kundan drops to the Fusion Taal Earrings, is handcrafted from fabric offcuts. Materials most brands discard become, in HOF's hands, wearable art. For a deeper guide to building the right earring collection, read 5 Earrings Every Indian Woman Should Own.
Our bangles, the Lariya Bangles for everyday elegance and the Rangriti Charm Bangles for festive colour, complete the picture. The Ikat Tote Bag carries the whole day with you, a padded 14-inch laptop sleeve woven into handcrafted ikat. Our curated gift sets exist because the women in your life deserve to be celebrated with intention.
How We Make It
HOF is not a fast fashion brand. We build a small, carefully curated collection where every piece earns its place. Two commitments shape everything we make: homegrown cotton, grown on Indian soil and chosen for the way it breathes and softens with wear, and the human hand, present in every cut, print, stitch and knot.
Our earrings and bangles are made by hand, one at a time, by artisans who have spent years learning their craft. The fabric offcuts we use would otherwise end up as waste. We turn them into jewellery that lasts. The material is not precious in the conventional sense. The care in every stitch and knot makes it so.
This approach is slower. It is also the only honest way to make things.
For the Woman Who Celebrates Herself Every Day
Not just on your birthday. Not just on Diwali or a wedding anniversary or the day you got promoted. The Tuesday you showed up despite exhaustion, the Thursday you wore your favourite earrings to a meeting that turned out to be nothing, the Sunday you dressed up just because. Those days count too.
HOF exists for the woman who already knows this. Who doesn't need permission to feel beautiful. Who understands that how she presents herself is one of the quiet, powerful ways she moves through the world on her own terms.
A Brand With a Clear Sense of Direction
We launched with a small collection and a specific point of view. Indian women deserve ethnic wear that works as hard as they do. Craftsmanship should not be a weekend luxury. Beauty and function are not opposites.
Every new piece is measured against that. If it doesn't serve the modern Indian woman in her real, complex, full life, it doesn't make the cut.
From her name, rises our dream. ๐งฟ
