A kada with two matching bangles, all in red. The Lariya Red set is handmade fabric bangles: each band is a light plastic base wrapped by hand in leheriya-print cotton, the diagonal wave stripe named after the Hindi word for wave, and finished with clusters of silver-toned ghungroo bells. Red is the one most people start with: the festive colour, right with ivory, gold and maroon, and the set we reach for first on a festive night.
There's a reason kadas have been worn across generations of Indian women: they sit quietly on the wrist until they move, and then you know they're there. Because these are fabric rather than metal, they stay light through a long evening or a night of dancing. Lariya comes in several colours, each on its own page; see them all in our fabric bangles collection.
