The Floral Kundan studs in yellow: pointed kundan petals in gold-tone settings ring a turmeric yellow fabric centre, so each stud reads like a small sunflower. Handmade in Ahmedabad. Yellow is the true sunflower: turmeric-bright, made for haldi functions and sunny days.

Kundan setting comes from the royal workshops of Rajasthan and Gujarat, where stones were held in gold rather than claws.

The Story

Kundan setting comes from the royal workshops of Rajasthan and Gujarat, where stones were held in gold rather than claws. We kept the setting and turned it into a flower: a ring of pointed kundan petals around a disc of coloured fabric, so each stud reads like a small sunflower. The fabric keeps it light, about 9 g a pair. Each pair is set by hand in Ahmedabad, in small batches.

Wear It

For a haldi	With a yellow or white outfit for a haldi or a daytime function.
For work	With a plain cotton kurta or the Nilkamal teal kurti: one statement piece, nothing else needed.
Everyday	With a kurta and jeans: big enough to notice, light enough to forget.
