The Mogra Oval studs in parrot green: a leafy parrot green fabric centre set with three kundan stones and ringed with small kundan, handmade in Ahmedabad. Parrot green is the cheerful one, and the classic partner for pink. At 0.9 inch long and 0.7 inch across, the oval sits neat and upright on the lobe.

Mogra is jasmine. Its buds become the three kundan stones, and its gajra becomes the small kundan ring around the edge. Kundan setting began in the royal workshops of Rajasthan and Gujarat; we set ours on fabric, so a pair weighs about 4 g. Parrot green with pink is a festive combination worn across India, and these are made to join it. One curator makes each pair in Ahmedabad, in about 1 hour 45 minutes.

Are they heavy? No. The pair weighs about 4 g, light enough to forget you have them on.
