The Mogra Round studs in royal blue: a deep royal blue fabric centre set with three kundan stones and ringed with small kundan, handmade in Ahmedabad. Royal blue is the classic of the three round colours: it works with white, mustard, cream and pink. At 0.9 inch across they sit small and neat on the lobe.

The Story

Mogra means jasmine. The three kundan stones gather like jasmine buds, and the small kundan around the edge is the gajra. Kundan setting began in the royal workshops of Rajasthan and Gujarat; we set ours on fabric, so a pair weighs about 4 g. Against royal blue, the white stones stand out clearly. One curator makes each pair in Ahmedabad, in about 1 hour 45 minutes.
