House of Falguni began with a question most ethnic wear never asks. Why should a woman keep her heritage for the calendar's loudest days? We are an Indo-Western ethnic-fusion house rooted in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, one of India's oldest textile cities. We make clothing and objects for women who carry their culture into an ordinary working week as easily as into a wedding.
The name is a mother's name. House of Falguni is built in her image: quiet, deliberate, made slowly and by hand. It carries one belief above the rest, that the clothes we live in every day deserve as much care as the ones we save for once a year. What House of Falguni stands for
Two things hold the house together. The first is homegrown cotton, grown on Indian soil and chosen for the way it breathes, ages and softens with every wash. The second is the human hand. We make nothing by machine at scale. Each piece passes through the fingers of an artisan who shapes, prints, stitches or strings it, which is also why no two are ever quite the same.
What does House of Falguni make?
We make ethnic-fusion clothing and handcrafted objects, pieces designed to move between a desk, a dinner and a festival without changing their owner. The collection stays small and considered, and grows slowly.
Clothing
Our garments are cut for the working Indian woman, structured enough for an office and soft enough to live in. Kurtis sit at the heart of it, from the Nilkamal Short Kurti in deep teal with its clean square neckline to the Ruby Raga Collar Kurta in maroon ikat with a tailored collar. The Ibrik Shirt Dress in warm camel carries the same idea into a dress that travels from morning to evening, while the Gulshan Co-ord Set offers a complete look in a single gesture. Most styles run S to 2XL.
Jewellery, made from what others discard
Our largest and most personal category begins with leftover cloth. Every pair of earrings is shaped by hand from fabric offcuts, the fragments most factories throw away, turned into ornament by artisans who treat scraps as raw material rather than waste. The range moves from everyday Ghungroo Studs to festive statement pieces such as the Chandbali with Ghungroo, Sunflower Kundan, Fusion Taal and Ruby Drops. Alongside them sit handcrafted bangles: the ghungroo-charmed Rangriti Charm Bangles and the classic Lariya Bangles, each offered across five colourways.
Objects for a life, not just a wardrobe
The house reaches beyond what is worn. Our Nilufar Modal Silk Stole is hand block-printed in traditional Ajrakh, a craft we explore in full in What is Ajrakh? The Ikat Tote Bag, handwoven and fitted with a padded 14-inch laptop sleeve and vegan-leather handles, was built for the commute. The Katha Fabric Diary, bound by hand in block-print cotton over recycled rag paper, sold out twice. For giving, there is The Pearl Gift Box and The Signature Gift Box, along with curated kurti-and-earring pairings.
Where is House of Falguni based?
In Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a city that has spun and printed cloth for centuries. We work directly with local artisans who carry generations of block-printing, embroidery and bangle-making in their hands, and we keep that relationship close rather than outsourced. Is everything really handmade?
Yes, and we mean it as a method rather than a marketing line. Earrings and bangles are made from fabric offcuts. Stoles are hand block-printed using the resist-dyeing discipline of Ajrakh. Diaries are hand-bound with block-print covers and recycled paper. Our cotton is homegrown, and the hand stays present in every piece from first cut to final knot.

Clothing runs from S to 2XL across most styles, and every product page carries a detailed size guide. If you fall between sizes, size up. Our fabrics have minimal stretch, and a slightly larger fit drapes more beautifully.
