The Riwaayat Pink Stitch earrings: a rani pink fabric triangle lined with white running stitches, finished with a row of antique-finish ghungroo bells along the base. Pink Stitch is the hand-stitched one: rani pink lined with white running stitches. Light enough to forget you have them on.

Riwaayat means tradition, and specifically the kind carried by practice rather than written down. No block-printer learns the work from a manual. They learn by standing beside someone who already knows how hard to press, how wet the dye should be, and exactly where the next block has to land.
Against that we set the ghungroo, the small bell a Kathak dancer ties in rows at the ankle so that movement can be heard as well as seen. Each one is tied on by hand, one at a time. Put the two together and you get an object with two registers, a print you look at and a sound you catch when you turn your head. Handcrafted in Ahmedabad.

Are they heavy? No. They are fabric with small bells, not cast metal, so they are light enough for all day.
