The Wine Suzani diary is a cotton journal wrapped in hand block-printed fabric: a deep wine ground with pale pink Suzani-style florals. Inside are 200 unruled pages of recycled rag paper, with centre binding and a 4.5 × 7 inch page size. It is for the person who writes, sketches or keeps an aesthetic journal, or the person you want to give something that feels made rather than bought.

There is only one Wine Suzani cover. If it is not quite you, look at Crimson Ajrakh, Navy Geometric, Crimson Peacock, or all twenty prints in the diaries collection.

The Story

Katha means a story, and this is a place to keep yours. Artisans wrap each diary by hand in traditional Indian block-print cotton, the same craft that runs through the rest of the label, so no two covers come out quite alike. Made in small runs in Ahmedabad.

Is the diary ruled? No. All 200 pages are unruled, so they work for writing, sketching, lists or an aesthetic journal with tickets and pressed flowers.

Does it come with prompts for the first pages? Yes, free online: the Wine Suzani Haath Se sheet has seven journaling prompts for one week, drawn from this cover. Find it here.

What size is it? Each page is 4.5 × 7 inches and the closed diary is 5.7 × 7 inches, 0.9 inch thick: small enough for a handbag, large enough to write a full page.

Is this print one of a kind? Yes. There is one Wine Suzani diary, and because the cloth is printed by hand, the print placement on your cover is its own.

Does it make a good gift? Yes. It gifts well on its own or with a piece of jewellery; for a team, plan a bulk run through the gifting concierge.

Can it be returned? No. Diaries are non-returnable. If it arrives damaged or incorrect, submit the HOF return form within 48 hours of delivery.

Care
  • Spot clean the fabric cover only, with a dry or barely damp cloth.
  • Do not machine wash or soak, water can lift the block print.
  • Keep away from direct sun and moisture to protect the colour and paper.
  • Store flat or upright in a dry place.

The cover is wrapped in hand block-printed cotton, so no two diaries are exactly alike.
